Classic Theism

Theism is the study within classical apologetics that demonstrates
the existence of God through the cosmological argument,
the teleological argument, the moral argument, and the
ontological argument. Respectively, these are the arguments from
the cosmos, from design, from moral law, and from the idea of an
absolutely perfect necessary being. The main credits I give for my
Theistic arguments come from early church leaders Anselm, and
Thomas Aquinas, and from modern teachers Norman Geisler and Hank
Hanegraaff.
Theism comes to the Bible having already proven the existence of God. Orthodox Christianity believes in Creation ex nihilo. This means God created the universe out of nothing. Creation ex deo is the belief held by pantheists, that claims God created the universe using part of Himself. Creation ex materia suggests that God created the universe out of material that existed before the universe began. This postulates that the material God used was eternal, since it existed before creation began. Again, this leads to a pantheistic worldview stating that matter along with God are both divine. In philosophical Christian Theology, God is the Uncaused First Cause for the creation of the universe. God caused everything, therefore everything caused is an effect of God's creation. It is impossible for nothing to create something. Nothing does not exist in time and space. Since nothing does not exist and cannot create something, Christian Theism holds that for every effect there is must be a cause. God, the Uncaused First Cause causes all effects. God is understood as an Actual being, while humans are potential beings. Humans beings have the potentail to change, they also have the potential to not exist. God does not have potential for change, and God cannot not exist. God must exist necessarily, while humans have the potential to exist, and they also have the potential of not existing.
